FDIC’s Bair: Mortgage Industry Should Compensate Consumers
WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- A top U.S. banking regulator said Wednesday that consumers harmed by shoddy foreclosure practices should receive compensation from the lending industry and called for reforms to ensure that homeowners get better treatment in the future.
